Viral Marketing
Viral Marketing refers to the act of encouraging, or creating content that promotes word-of-mouth or social sharing of content. This type of content or strategy is aimed at creating what is often referred to as a ‘viral coefficient’. That number is the number of people that an impression refers to the same piece of content. For example, if one user refers another you would have a viral coefficient of 1. That user would then refer another… and you have something going viral!
